Friends of Altus named

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Col. Jon "Ty" Thomas, former Altus AFB wing commander and Gary “Bull” Watkins, unveil a portrait of Watkins, officially naming him a “Friend of Altus” at an induction ceremony Jan. 24, 2012. The "Friends of Altus" was started by Brig. Gen. George N. Williams, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, in 1995 to recognize community leaders who have provided outstanding effort and support to individuals assigned to Altus AFB.
