54th ARS trains new boom operators

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Tech Sgt. Bartek Bachleda, 54th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator instructor trains Airman 1st Class Zach Dailey, 54th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator trainee, how to navigate through a program on his computer Jan. 18, 2011. The 54th Air Refueling Squadron is currently training 18 future boom operators and is scheduled to have a total of 230 people trained by the end of 2012. The students spend two months training at the 54th ARS and perform eight practice flights along with one final evaluation flight at the end of their training.
