97th CES Airmen continue construction on WoF Park

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Senior Airman Andre Hulse (R) and Airman 1st Class Alex Cremeans (L), 97th Civil Engineering Squadron water, fuel, and maintenance journeymen, dig a hole to replace a broken wire at the Wings of Freedom Park playground, Jan. 10, 2012. The Wings of Freedom Park playground has been under construction since late summer 2011 and once completed will include a playground, picnic tables and grills. The playground is a 97 CES project using non-contracted labor that when completed will have saved approximately $500,000 by not hiring contractors.
