Altus begins POW/MIA 24 hour memorial run

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. –Airman Keenan Hoesel, 97th Operation Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment apprentice and Senior Airman Raiko Perez, 97th OSS aircrew flight equipment journeyman, run with the Prisoners of War/Missing in Action flag during the POW/MIA Memorial Run Sept. 15, 2011. National POW/MIA recognition day was established to honor the families and American veterans held as prisoners of war and calls to renew the nation’s commitment to account for all U.S. personnel still missing from our nations past and present conflicts. The runners participating ran for 20 minute intervals starting at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 15th until the following day at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 16th. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Marianne E.
