ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla.—Staff Sgt. Gary Messer, 97th Medical Group NCO in charge of occupational and environmental health, injects an internal sample into a vile to determine if there is any contamination in a liquid or soil sample. The bioenvironmental technicians inject the internal sample into the HAPSITE Smart machine, which measures the concentrations in the air once a week to ensure the machine is working correctly.
