Wing staff retreat flag folding ceremony

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, OKLA. -- (Left to right ) Airman 1st Class Tomas Kuhn, Airman 1st Class Tyler Spurgeon, Senior Airman Cherice Bryant, Airman 1st Class Carl Franklin, Airman 1st Class Ross Whitley and Staff Sergeant Pedro Padilla, all from the 97th Air Mobility Wing, march off the stage with a folded flag during a retreat ceremony at Wings of Freedom Park May 28. At this ceremony the flag is lowered and folded into a triangle and each fold symbolizes a specific patriotic belief. The ceremony represents the same principles on which our country was originally founded, and pays tribute to our nation’s honored dead.
