Training heats up at Altus

Altus Air Force Base, Okla. -- Firefighters from the Altus Air Force Base Fire department perform a ventilation tactic called fog streaming during a training exercise held on base on April 4. This tactic entails hydraulically ventilating heated smoke and gasses from the room in order to rapidly provide the room with fresh air. The fire department uses a fire structural trainer for live burns. The quarterly-held training is conducted by military and civilian firefighters.
