JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- Tech. Sgt. Gregg Fleming, 332nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron assistant NCO-in-charge of combat arms training and maintenance, and armory, holds a weapon steady as Tech. Sgt. Roy Hurd, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron structural journeyman, uses an oxy-acetylene torch to de-militarize it here March 18. Enemy weapons were turned in by units on JBB and through amnesty boxes and are being destroyed so they cannot be collected and used against Coalition Forces and Iraqis at a later point in time. Hurd is deployed here from McChord Air Force Base, Wash., and is a native of Omaha, Neb. Fleming is deployed here from Altus Air Force Base, Okla., and is a from Minneapolis.
