ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – U.S. Air Force Col. Bill Spagenthal, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, announces the improvement projects the Airmen of the 97th chose to enhance the base for winning the Commander In Chief Installation Excellence Award at Wings of Freedom Park June 6, 2014. The plans include building a dog park, establishing basewide Wi-Fi and a cross-training workout space with equipment. The Altus Chamber of Commerce and the Altus Military Affairs Committee hosted the party to congratulate Altus AFB Airmen for winning the CINC IEA award.
