ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – An Airman from the 97th Security Forces Squadron salutes the American Flag during his guard duty following the annual Police Week wreath laying ceremony at the Wings of Freedom Park May 15, 2014. Airmen from the 97th traded shifts standing guard of the wreath until the retreat ceremony later that day to show respect for law-enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Police Week events included: The Sheep Dog Shootout, the “Gut Check” Challenge, wreath laying and retreat ceremonies and concluded with a golf tournament.
