Motorcycle Mentor Ride
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Motorcycle are displayed during the Motorcycle Mentor Ride outside the Freedom Community Center April 11, 2014. The event was hosted by the 97th AMW Safety Office and offered motorcycle safety briefings, which highlighted personal protection equipment to include head protection, eye protection, protective clothing, foot protection, and garment and motorcycle visibility. Various riding hazards such as weather conditions, road conditions, traffic conditions, alcohol use, fatigue and wildlife were also covered. Being aware of weather conditions and the threats they pose to motorcycle riders is knowledge valuable to both beginner and veteran riders.
