ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. - Staff Sgt. Jerome Duhon, 97th Communications Squadron network administration NCO in charge, partnered with Air Education and Training Command, 97th Comptroller Squadron and 97th Contracting Squadron to engineer a solution for the transfer of critical, end-of-year financial documents during intermittent email services. Duhon created a dedicated network location and secured access to the sensitive financial documents for 13 base personnel. His actions eliminated any potential communication interruption and ensured a smooth closeout to fiscal year 2013. By maintaining the integrity of Altus AFB network resources, Duhon enabled the base to receive over $12 million in end-of-year funds in September 2013 and complete the execution of more than $29.2 million in fiscal year 2013 without interrupting the mission.
