Hearts Apart dinner brings families together

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Max and Marie, wife and son of U.S. Air Force Capt. Eric Wietlisbach, 58th Airlift Squadron instructor pilot, play at the base pool during the Deployed Families Hearts Apart Dinner at the Freedom Community Center, Aug. 27. The dinner is held quarterly by the First Seargent’s Council and the Airman and Family Readiness Center and is part of the Hearts Apart program which offers spouses and families of deployed military members a chance to relax and connect with other families going through the same experience.
