Bill Spangenthal, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, and City of Altus Mayor David Webb, sign Domestic Violence Prevention Month and Red Ribbon Week proclamations Oct. 6, 2014. Domestic Violence Prevention Month will be all of October and Red Ribbon Week will take place Oct. 24-31, 2014. Red Ribbon Week is a part of the campaign for a drug-free America and Altus AFB and the City of Altus will be hosting various local drug education events at local schools to help prevent children from experimenting with illegal substances.
