ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – A hydraulic test stand from the 97th Maintenance Directorate, applies hydraulic pressure to a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft engine inside Hangar 509, Jan. 21, 2015. The test stand provides pressure which simulates inflight engine hydraulic pressure to the aircraft, allowing maintainers to ensure everything within this particular system functions properly. The aircraft at Altus AFB are taken apart every 12 months to conduct an inspection to repair and verify that every component of the aircraft functions properly.
