ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Walt Simpson and Billy Black, 97th Maintenance Directorate airframe power plant general crew chiefs, inspect the wing of a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft inside Hangar 285, Jan. 15, 2015. Simpson and Black serviced an outboard spoiler control valve to ensure proper operation of the aircraft’s flight controls. The 97th inspects around 17 KC-135 annually.
