ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. –U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Donnie McCorkle, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft loadmaster, watches a C-17 land, Feb. 12, 2015. McCorkle was preparing for a combat off-load, where cargo is pushed out of the cargo door while the aircraft is taxiing. This demonstration was a part of a familiarization flight to help air traffic controllers understand what aircrews do and how important it is to maintain communication between the aircraft and control tower.
