Fabrication specialists enhance Altus maintenance mission

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Danny Sanchez, a 97th Maintenance Directorate A-Team manufacturing flight corrosion control technician, sands down a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft main wheel, Feb. 19, 2015. Roughly 30-35 wheels a week come through the shop to be painted to act as a buffer to prevent the parts from corrosion when exposed to the natural wear and tear of the elements.
