A hand-welded weight plaque is displayed on the side of a new C-17 Globemaster III engine trailer test weight, March 18, 2020, at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The old concept of the test weight is simple: a 14,000 pound slab of cement cradled in a reinforced steel casing, designed to have the same weight as a C-17 engine. The new design consists of three separate cement blocks in a steel casing, with the same combined total weight as the old weight. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Breanna Klemm)
