97th AMW fire department “houses” new fire truck

Airmen “house” a new fire truck, April 26, 2021, at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The “housing” tradition stems from the 1830s when fire companies used horse-drawn fire carts that could not be backed into the fire house, causing firemen and local community members to manually push the fire cart into the fire house.
