97 MDG Airman fights at forefront of global pandemic
Community members wait in a holding area after receiving their COVID-19 vaccine at a Community Vaccination Center in Brooklyn, New York, on March 22, 2021. Approximately 140 U.S. Air Force Airmen deployed from 28 installations deployed to the Brooklyn CVC in support of U.S. Army North’s COVID-19 response efforts. Since efforts began, the team aims to vaccinate 3,000 community members each day and have vaccinated more than 76,000 members total. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
