97 CES designs and builds frangible flood gates

Michael McCoy, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) equipment operator, stamps a “Dirt Boyz'' emblem into the concrete foundation of a new frangible flood gate at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Dec. 9, 2021. Designed by the 97 CES to break on purpose, the gates can easily be ‘reset’ after a rain event by replacing an inexpensive and readily available locking mechanism. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
