Altus AFB firefighters respond to Apple Creek Apartments fire Published July 8, 2013 By 010713 ALTUS, Okla. -- Altus Air Force Base firefighters responded to a fire at the Apple Creek Apartments in the city of Altus July 8 at 12:14 p.m. The fire engulfed 16 apartment units. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The City of Altus, Altus AFB, Blair, and Friendship fire departments contained the fire, and performed salvage and overhauls to achieve final extinguishment. The fire was terminated at 4:15 p.m. Personnel residing in the apartments are urged to call the Apple Creek Apartments office at 580-477-4044 for further information regarding their respective complexes.
