  • 97 AMW NCOs mentor junior enlisted

    The junior enlisted and noncommissioned officers of the 97th Air Mobility Wing came together for a mentorship session, May 26, 2021, at the Base Exchange multipurpose room. The session focused on career progression, work-life balance, and the importance of finding a mentor. Approximately 20 base members attended the event, which allowed former junior enlisted members to pass down guidance to attendees. Airmen also had the opportunity to ask questions to the panel on any topic of their choice including writing packages, volunteering, and how to recover from mistakes.
  • 927th MXG Superintendent shares insight with females in aircraft maintenance

    Female maintainers of the 97th Maintenance Group gathered together for a mentorship luncheon with U.S. Air Force Reserve Chief Master Sgt. Erin Willis, 927th MXG superintendent, May 6, 2021. This luncheon was an opportunity for members to gain insight and perspective from someone who has climbed the ranks of aviation maintenance, both in the civilian and military sectors.
  • Mentorship, diversity in focus during 19th AF leadership visit

    Maj. Gen. Craig Wills, 19th Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sergeant Kristina Rogers, 19th AF command chief, visited the Airmen of Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, March 29 to 31.
  • AMC command team visits Mobility’s Hometown

    Airmen from the 97th Air Mobility Wing showcased their training mission to the Air Mobility Command leadership team during a visit here Feb. 8, 2021. Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost, AMC commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Brian Kruzelnick, AMC command chief, toured the installation to witness the capabilities of the 97th Operations Group and to meet with Airmen.
