  • Altus Airmen support ‘ACE Reaper’ exercise

    Airmen from the 58th Airlift Squadron supported exercise “Agile Combat Employment (ACE) Reaper” Sept. 9-10, 2021, by providing airlift capabilities for MQ-9 Reaper assets travelling from Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, to Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
  • Altus Maintenance leads first KC-46 landing gear strut removal

    The KC-46A Pegasus will take off and land approximately 1,250 times a year during mobility training at the 97th Air Mobility Wing. In turn, this creates strain and wear on the aircraft parts, something the Altus maintenance team constantly keeps close eyes on. The 97th AMW Maintenance Group KC-46 ATeam accomplished a milestone task for the KC-46 program Oct. 8, 2019, when removing a KC-46 landing gear strut for the first time at Altus Air Force Base, Okla.
