  • 97 AMW leaders induct newest honorary commanders

    Leaders from the 97th Air Mobility Wing welcomed 15 southwest Oklahoma community members into the wing's honorary commanders (HCC) program during an induction ceremony on July 21, 2020 at Altus Air Force Base, Okla.

  • KC-46 completes its first aeromedical evacuation mission

    Over the course of six flights and 17 hours, the mission, which originated at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, transited five patients and two attendees to Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia; Patrick Air Force Base, Florida; and Travis AFB, California.   • The “Triangle Y” behind Mobility’s Hometown

    On January 28, 1942, the U.S. Army Air Force established the 97th Bombardment Group. Its original mission: conduct antisubmarine patrols using the largest bomber aircraft of the time, the B-17 Flying Fortress.   • 58th AS unveils new facility renovations

    The 58th Airlift Squadron held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the unveiling of their building renovations, June 19, 2020. During the renovations the 58th AS accomplished student training and utilized other facilitates until the complete overhaul was accomplished.

  • 97 AMW honors CCAF graduates

    Twenty-eight members from the 97th Air Mobility Wing received Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degrees during a graduation ceremony, June 18, 2020. This ceremony celebrated the graduates of the fall 2019 and spring 2020 classes.
