  • Off we go to the Wild Brew Yonder: New Base Coffee Shop

    The 97th Air Mobility Wing opened the new Wild Brew Yonder coffee shop at the Base Exchange, Feb. 28, 2019. The new location of the coffee shop is part of an initiative to increase the quality of life for base members.

  • Pursuing resiliency through local programs

    In an effort to get Airmen out and active, the Community Action Team is implementing the Passport to Resiliency Program for permanent party (active duty and reserve) members, starting March 1, 2019. The program awards members time off work for participating in base and community activities.

  • What is a CCRI and how to be ready

    From April 15 -19, 2019, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) will conduct a Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) of Altus Air Force Base unclassified and classified networks, standalone computers, classified processing areas, communication closets and organization-specific systems.

  • 97 AMW participates in 21st Valentines for Vets

    Approximately 25 members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing delivered Valentine's Day cards made by children from local elementary schools thanking veterans from local neighborhoods for their service as part of the "Valentine's for Vets" program, Feb. 14, 2019.

  • PACE visits 97 AMW Airmen

    Members of the PACE team came down for three days to teach several courses to further the development of the 97th Air Mobility Wing members, Feb. 12-14, 2019, teaching members about a variety of different Air Force professional development topics.

  • 97 AMW celebrates arrival of KC-46 Pegasus

    The 97th Air Mobility Wing welcomed its first KC-46A Pegasus Feb. 8, 2019. The “Spirit of the Mighty 97th” was the first KC-46 to be delivered to the formal training unit at Altus Air Force Base.
