"Give a little, help a lot" Published Aug. 31, 2012 By Maj. McKay Morgan 97th Operations Group ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 2012 Combined Federal Campaign will kick off at Altus AFB, Sept. 10, 2012. "We have set a lofty goal of $100,000, but we think with some hard work and generous contributions, the men and women of Team Altus can make it happen" said Maj. McKay Morgan, 97th Operations Group assistant chief of standardization evaluation and Local Federal Coordinating Committee board member. "We want to make 100% contact, making sure everyone has a chance to learn about the CFC and donate if they want to." Group and Squadron point of contacts will be contacting every member of Team Altus, both civilian and military, to explain what the CFC is and to solicit contributions. More than 4,000 charities participate in this world-wide event, with 14 Southwest Oklahoma area organizations taking part. Maj. Morgan said the CFC gives airmen and other federal employees the opportunity to show local, state, national and international charities that they care by donating. Giving is easier than ever. Federal employees are able to donate to the charity of their choice with a direct contribution or a payroll deduction. The campaign comes to a close on Oct. 19, 2012.
