Air Show Child Care Published April 28, 2010 By Tech. Sgt. Jennifer Seidl 97th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- For duty personnel only, the Child Development Center is offering child care on 2 May for the Air Show and Open House. Colonel Noel Zamot, 97th Air Mobility Wing Mission Support Group commander, said those who are interested in placing their children in the CDC on the 2nd must pre-register with the CDC and have a form completed by their supervisors. The charge for child care for the Air Show is based on the hourly rate for the category each family falls into. For example, a family in Category III earns $34,001 to $44,000 annually. The daily rate for that Category is $17.40 for 10 hours of care a day. That family will be charged $1.74 per child for every hour their child or children is at the CDC on the 2nd. Those who do not normally use the CDC will be charged $4 per hour, but your child must meet all regular registration requirements (vaccinations, etc) and be registered. Colonel Zamot explained that this offer for child care is available only to those who have the appropriate paperwork submitted, and are required on duty at the Air Show. Hours and other details of CDC child care on the 2nd are to be announced, and the deadline for the forms is close of business 29 April. To register and receive the required form, contact the CDC at 580-481-7502 or DSN 866-7502 or visit them at Building 53, North Altus Road.
