ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 97th Civil Engineer Squadron will only be taking emergency work orders through the end of October.
If an emergency appears, notify your buildings facility manager immediately.
“We’re replacing our old system that we put our work orders into,” said U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Mikel Davis, 97th CES requirements and optimization NCO in charge. “It’ll take all of October before it’s up and running.”
The 97th CES hopes the new system will improve the work order process.
“The new system will allow the facility manager to input and track all work orders for their assigned facilities,” said Davis. “While offering higher headquarters the ability to see how and what work we are performing as a unit.”
In the meantime any issues should be reported to appropriate building facility managers for later reporting.
“When a work order comes to us, we’ll track it until the new system is up and running and they can put it into the system,” said U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Harris, building 52 facility manager.
Smaller issues within buildings can still be handled through the facility manager.
“A lot of the things that come to us we can do ourselves,” said Harris “People can still get cleaning supplies, tiles, bulbs, etc.”
For more information on possible work orders and building repairs please contact your facility manager.
