Longhorn steer stampede through Altus Air Force Base, Okla., perhaps in hope of receiving flight training. Local ranchers drive the longhorn cattle through Altus Air Force Base every year for Airmen and their families to view, kicking off the Annual Great Plains Stampede Rodeo in Altus.

ALTUS AFB -- Local ranchers drive the longhorn cattle through Altus Air Force Base every year for Airmen and their families to view, kicking off the Annual Great Plains Rodeo in Altus. Base leadership participate in the cattle drive on horseback, helping guide the steer through the base.
