Western Farmers Electrical Cooperative provides generator for Altus AFB
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – U.S. Air Force Col. Todd Hohn, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief MSgt. James Powell, 97th Air Mobility Wing command chief Master Sgt., cut a ribbon during the 9-megawatt interactive distributed generation system ribbon cutting ceremony, July 13. The $4 million generator system was given to Altus AFB by Western Farmers Electrical Cooperative after proving to be a mutually beneficial and reliable solution to mitigate any issues that may arise from the increasing necessity for electricity.
