Altus' AMC Rodeo teams are announced
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla.— Col. John S. Oates, 97th Operations Group commander, and Col. Jon T. Thomas, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, stand with the members of the 97th AMW Rodeo Red River Riders KC-135 Stratotanker Aircrew Team for the 2011 Air Mobility Command Rodeo. The AMC Rodeo is a mobility rodeo competition between units from around the world that will be held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. July 23-30. From the 54th Air Refueling Squadron, 97th OSS and Detatchment 3, team chief Capt. Matt Lilly, and team members Captains Zach Peaden, Steve Aldridge, Tech. Sergeants Rod Taylor, Ben Cobb, and Staff Sgt. Christopher Joyce, will be competing in the tanker air-to-air refueling competition, tanker cargo loading, and in the unfamiliar instrument approach competition.
