Altus' AMC Rodeo teams are announced

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, OKLA.— Col. Odie Oates, 97th Operations Group commander, Col. Ty Thomas, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, and Lt. Col. Steve Johnson, 97th Operations Support Squadron commander, stand with Staff Sgt. Marc Safford, 97th OSS, as he is named one of the team members for the 97th AMW Rodeo Red River Riders Joint Airdrop Inspection Team for the 2011 Air Mobility Command Rodeo. The AMC Rodeo is a mobility rodeo competition between units from around the world that will be held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. July 23-30. From the 97th Operations Support Squadron, Staff Sgt. Safford and Tech. Sgt. Jeff Austin will be competing in the static airdrop load inspection, conduct all before-and after-loading inspections for unit airdrop missions and performance of their airdrop loads.
