Two Airmen from the 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron uncover a Heritage Rock from the Basic Combat Convoy Course (BC3), October 4, 2019, at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. The BC3 program was created as a request by the Army for Air Force personnel to augment convoy duties in Iraq. This later lead to the creation of BC3 at U.S. Army Camp Bullis, Texas, in which the Air Force provided transportation Airmen with the skills necessary to conduct convoy operations in hostile territory in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
