Altus Air Force Base to conduct aerial practice for Altus Airpower Stampede Open House and Air Show, April 10-11

Altus Air Force Base will be conducting aerial practice for the upcoming Altus Airpower Stampede Open House and Air Show in conjunction with B-29 ‘Doc’ on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Additionally, Altus AFB will be conducting air show practice with all participating performers on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Altus AFB aircraft and the B-29 will be conducting low level passes Thursday morning throughout the City of Altus. Residents may see aircraft flying lower than normal and more flight activity around the city from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will otherwise be no disruption to normal base operations. 

Residents that live on or near AAFB may hear noise and see aircraft outside of normally expected models and times on April 11. There will otherwise be no disruption to normal base operations. 

Parking along highway 62 will not be permitted, law enforcement will be patrolling the area to enforce this.
