Update: Altus Airman passes away Published Sept. 21, 2015 By 020915 ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- An Airman assigned to the 97th Air Mobility Wing who passed away on Altus Air Force Base Sept. 18, has been identified. Senior Airman Nicholas Schultz, 26, was pronounced dead at approximately 5:50 p.m. The cause of Schultz's death remains under investigation. Airman Schultz was assigned to the 97th Security Forces Squadron on Oct. 21, 2013. "It is with great sadness that I confirm the death of Senior Airman Schultz," said U.S. Air Force Col. Todd Hohn, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander. "Our heartfelt sympathies are with Airman Schultz's family and loved ones during this difficult time."
