  • Altus AFB honors USAFA Class of 2020 with ‘Pegasus’ flyover

    The hats of graduates were not the only things in the air above the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) during graduation week. Two KC-46 Pegasus aircraft assigned to the 56th Air Refueling Squadron and their aircrews supported the USAFA class of 2020 by executing a flyover of the Academy April 17, 2020.

  • 97 MXG designs safer engine trailer test

    At the 97th Air Mobility Wing, C-17 Globemaster III, KC-46 Pegasus and KC-135 Stratotanker students are trained continuously to become operational Airmen. Concurrently, maintainers with the 97th Maintenance Squadron work to keep Airmen safe and move the mission of Mobility’s Hometown forward.

    U.S. Air Force Capt. Dustin Gooden, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron operations flight commander, recently won the Air Education and Training Command’s Company Grade Officer of the Year award for 2019.
