ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Special Agent Ross Bergstresser (L), of Office of Special Investigations and Staff Sgt. Matt Treadwell (R), of 97 Security Forces Squadron hug Deputy Kevin Walker (M) at the Police Award ceremony. Deputy Walker had a heart attack on May 14, 2009 at the firing range; this took place during a competition between Altus Police Department, Altus AFB SFS, and OSI. These two heroes saved Deputy Walker’s life, and kept him alive until emergency medical attention arrived, for this they received the Fraternal Order of Police Life Saver Award. Altus Air Force Base, Okla. -- Firefighters from the Altus Air Force Base Fire department perform a ventilation tactic called fog streaming during a training exercise held on base on April 4. This tactic entails hydraulically ventilating heated smoke and gasses from the room in order to rapidly provide the room with fresh air.
