Airmen from the 97th Comptroller Squadron will launch the Comptroller Services Portal on August 3, 2020.

The CSP is a user-friendly interface that delivers virtual CPTS customer service to active duty Air Force and civilian Airmen from any location. The website can be used to create and submit all active duty Air Force military pay, travel pay, and civilian pay inquiries.

“It is important because it can save time from coming into the finance lobby,” said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Brendan Reilly, 97th CPTS financial operations flight chief. “It will answer common questions, track inquires and give notifications when there is a need for corrections or clarification. It goes to the entire financial management office so you get a quicker response, and protects personal information so there are no worries with certificate issues on our (organization) boxes or concerns of your information going to the public.”

According to Airman First Class David Dixon, a financial operations technician assigned to the 97th CPTS, the ability to have the online portal allows access from any location and improves the squadron’s capability and communication.

“It’s going to have a big difference because it provides another avenue of communication,” said Dixon. “You now have four ways to contact finance: in person, via phone, via email, or submitting an inquiry through the Comptroller Services Portal.”

The system also tracks members’ inquiries and notifies members of status changes.

“It’s going to be of great benefit to customers. I believe this will make our response time faster,” said Dixon. “CSP will also provide an elevated level of convenience to certain groups of members. For example, the night shift won’t have to wake up early in order to stop by our office, or hunt down someone to email and correspond with. You submit an inquiry via CSP and it can be answered by anybody in our office. This also applies to deployed members as well. The difference in time zones is still there, but it will simplify communication. On our end it will improve visibility and transparency within our office.”
