Cody Dowell Altus Air Force Base Public Affairs ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Airmen from the 97th CES held a Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force exercise to bolsters downrange readiness, May 25 to 26, 2021. The exercise tests the base engineer emergency force on their ability to stand up operations in any location. In the deployed environment, it is a civil engineer’s duty to build, maintain and, if needed, defend or repair base infrastructure. The goal for this exercise was to build five huts and defense barriers to practice performing their primary duties in a deployed environment.
