  • AAFB celebrates 100 years of air refueling

    On June 27, 2023, the United States Air Force will celebrate the 100th anniversary of air refueling with global flyover events. The 97th Air Mobility Wing will be celebrating this historic milestone by conducting air refueling in several significant locations across Oklahoma and Texas.

    The 97th Air Mobility Wing will be conducting joint training with units from Ft. Sill between April 19-21, 2023. The training seeks to ensure joint readiness and interoperability between mobility’s hometown and Ft. Sill.

    Airmen from the 97th Air Mobility Wing will conduct a Readiness and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear exercise July 11-15, 2022.

  • Altus AFB conducts flyaway

    The 97th Air Mobility Wing conducted a flyaway of its fleet in response to potential inclement weather, launching 29 aircraft throughout the day on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
